In-flight entertainment: The city’s diverse landscape includes western towns, a lighthouse, waterfront mansions and a mountain, so it continues to be a popular location for movies and TV shows. Mark your calendar for the annual Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLiFF) and the Women’s International Film & Arts Festival to support up-and-coming filmmakers.
Things to Do: As we countdown the days until the beachside Tortuga Music Festival or RockFest 80’s return, you can also listen to the sweet sounds of nature. Fort Lauderdale is considered “the yachting capital of the world.” Take a private nighttime tour through the Everglades too. There is something about being in the wetlands with alligators, panthers and pythons that gets your adrenaline pumping.
